Product background
Dengue fever is an acute infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and spread by mosquitoes. Patients and recessive infections are the main sources of infection. The clinical features are sudden onset, high fever, body muscle, bone marrow and joint pain, extreme fatigue, some patients may have skin rash, bleeding tendency and lymph node enlargement. It is the most severe arbovirus disease that causes human morbidity and death.
Intended use
This product is used to qualitatively detect dengue virus IgM and IgG antibodies in human serum, plasma, and whole blood samples.
Operation steps and result interpretation
- IgG positive (+): One color line should be in the control area (C), and the other color line should be in the detection area IgG. The result is positive for dengue virus specific IgG, which indicate past dengue infection.
- IgM positive (+): One color line should be in the control area (C), and the other color line should be in the detection area IgM. The result was a positive dengue virus specific IgM antibody, which indicate primary dengue infection.
- IgG and IgM positive (+): The control area (C) should have one color line, and the detection line area should have two color lines for IgG and IgM. The result was positive for IgG and IgM antibodies, which indicate secondary dengue infection.
- Negative (-): Only a purple-red band appears in the quality control area (C). There is no purple-red band in the detection area (IgG, IgM).
- Invalid: There is no purple-red band in the quality control area (C).
